The Power of Non-Violence–The Enduring Legacy of Richard Gregg (virtual)

John Wooding will present and discuss the life and work of the pacifist Richard Bartlett Gregg. He was the first American to study with Gandhi and became his friend. Gregg lived in India for 5 years, his work influenced Martin Luther King and many pacifists. He promoted sustainability and organic farming and wrote The Value of Voluntary Simplicity in 1936. He was one of the first to promote environmental sustainability and the protection of nature through simple living and peace.
