Lowell Reads, with LaLa Books, at the Pollard Library

October 23 @ 5:00 pm

Slow Noodles author, Chantha Nguon, will speak to us about her book. Watch from home or join us in the Ground Floor Meeting Room at the library and watch with our community. The library will share the virtual event link for all of those who register. We hope you’ll be able to join us in the library meeting room to watch in community and engage in the conversation.

A haunting and beautiful memoir from a Cambodian refugee who lost her country and her family during Pol Pot’s genocide in the 1970s but who finds hope by reclaiming the recipes she tasted in her mother’s kitchen.

Books are available now from lala books, and will be available for purchase at the event.

This event is a part of Lowell Reads 2024 on the theme of The Language of Food: Community, Belonging, and the Stories We Tell.

Offered by Pollard Memorial Library as part of the 2024 Lowell City of Learning Festival, which is a project under the fiscal sponsorship of the Greater Lowell Community Foundation.
