Paul, one of the founders of Lowell Celebrates Kerouac, will discuss the evolving public perception of 20th-century author Jack Kerouac in his hometown, examining the dynamic relationship between an innovative, news-making writer and the city that shaped him.
The editor of Kerouac’s early writing, “Atop an Underwood” (Viking/Penguin, 1999), Marion is the author of “Mill Power,” about the modern revival of Lowell, and several collections of poems. He lives in Amesbury, Massachusetts.
