Join the Merrimack River Watershed Council as we present the fascinating story of the Merrimack River’s evolution. Our interactive slideshow will look at the dynamic forces that have changed the river — and, along the way, you’ll learn something new about the Merrimack.

We’ll explore the forces that changed our river, from its turbulent emergence from the Ice Age 14,000 years ago to its vital role as a food supply, highway and industrial power source for humans — and, finally, the ongoing efforts to return it to a clean and healthy watershed. This hour long presentation will be hosted by John Macone, engagement specialist for the MRWC.
