Looking for a no-cost family activity your kids might enjoy? Something new to them but very familiar to French-Canadian families and elders of yesteryear? An opportunity to dance or socialize the evening away with friends, neighbors, newcomers, or old acquaintances the way French-Canadians often did before electronic devices arrived? You don’t need experience, and you don’t need a partner to dance: all you need is enthusiasm and a willingness to keep moving. But if you prefer to sit, chat, or watch and tap your feet — or enjoy a cold beverage with a snack or two to munch on — that’s highly encouraged, too. The dances will mostly be called in English, with a little French thrown in for
flavor here and there.
